If you put the Chicago’s flavor and the London’s flavor in a test tube, what will be the chemical effect!? Excepted if you firstly thought about old ‘ACID HOUSE music’, it’s pretty difficult to imagine what will be the result… We guess that will be hybrid, but will that be consistent or not!?…
We already know the ‘Juke music’ along with samples of ‘Soul’ like Dj RASHAD does and now thanks to the brilliant chemist poetry called MACHINEDRUM we are going to discover a new kind of ‘Juke’ along with some UK ‘Future Garage’ vibes (following the legacy of BURIAL). Dope :

New Release on OUTSIDE RECORDINGS : by 214 – “Eye Thoughts” E.P

Outside Recordings is a discreet Electro – IDM record label possessing a really great catalogue. A couple of months ago after released the amazing album of ADJ, the label is back with an E.P signed by the gifted Seattle based producer 214 (TwoFourteen). His new project entitled “Eye Thoughts” features a serious content of 4 unique tracks along with 2 remixes. On this E.P, we find back the brilliant 214′s touch that is a blend of mental musics like Electro, Idm, Garage, Experimental,… The remixes of the title track bring up some other sounds to this project : the first is a glitchy version produced by MR ATOMIC (aka KRIS KRAUSE) and the second is a bass version by EXZAKT. Therefore the “Eye Thoughts” E.P will submerge you into even more mysterious hybrid world than you could imagine. Recommended!

The early label SHAMELESS TOADY continues to distribute some good & different sounds. Indeed, the secretive producer PRESTON FLEX releases on this lab a new electro project very close to the ‘Garage’ music. His new E.P entitled “Cold Love” features 4 great tracks mixing Electro, Idm & Garage. The peoples who listened spacey Drum’n'Bass from some labels like METALHEADZ will be enthusiastic by this hybrid way. For others who aren’t familiar with Garage & D’n'B, front of the quality of this production, we suggest at least to listen the E.P …and more if you love it. Step by step, some releases like this one are pushing the level of electro music to an interesting unknown zone. Recommended!

EGYPTRIXX – Interviewed by Back To Bionic

After the release of his excellent hybrid electro album “Bible Eyes” on NIGHT SLUGS, EGYPTRIXX is one of the promising artists of this new wave of the electronic music. On the occasion of his venue in France, BACK TO BIONIC had the pleasure to meet him. Currently, “UK Bass” music is in the center of the attentions. On one side, the Hipsters classified it as the club music of future, on the other one, certain purists of the underground electro not wanting to hear about it.
But finally, classified music into a genre and put barriers between the styles of electronic music is not the purpose because we are just talking about MUSIC. EGYPTRIXX being presented by a lot of blogs as an actor of this new trend, BACK TO BIONIC wanted to know what is his point of view on this subject and how he approaches his own production.
