JOE MUGGS has produced an interesting mix comissioned by the fresh & freaky Uk label entitled UNKNOWN TO THE UNKNOWN (run by DJ HAUS). This set is a solid blend of electro bass music & Grime music, clearly not a usual jam but the result is very catchy giving a more dynamic vibe to electro (as it works always with Techno, i remind that for some electro purists who seem to have forgotten the connection) … anyway music genres are nothing, BPM is the shit! Enjoy this JOE MUGGS mix :

Listen To Future Music

San Francisco based duo LAZER SWORD (members are Lando Kal & Low Limit) delivers with the self-titled LP “Lazer Sword” (Innovative Leisure) a brilliant album fusing anything from rap, electro, dubstep and grime together to form a new kind of musical experience.
“Lazer Sword” also has very good collaborations like on “Topflites”, a powerful hip hop track worn by heavy basses and the incisive flow of M SAYYID (Antipop Consortium / Airborn Audio).
The fifteen tracks of “Lazer Sword” offer a journey punctuated by the sound of future music, an original and varied selection marked by heavy basses and sharp melodies which have all to make “Lazer Sword” one of the releases of the year.

Remix of the week : MJ Cole & Wiley “From the Drop” (L-Vis 1990 RMX)
By Jon Merick on Oct. 22 2010 | Category : Style : Trend // Stay informed by subscribing to RSS or to TWITTER
It’s been a long time without posting remix of the week. Now it’s done with this great L-Vis 1990 remix of the UK grime artist Wiley and UK garage producer MJ Cole‘s tune “From The Drop“.

Following up recent club banger “AO” and his “Riddim” EP, garage pioneer MJ Cole delivers this much anticipated collaboration with Wiley, out November 1st on his own Prolific Recordings. “From The Drop” sees the grime don in relentless, confessional flow, riding a sparse and sinister tribal rhythm. Night Slugs label head L-Vis 1990 steps up for the remix, increasing the energy whilst keeping the vibe deep and dark, which gives a new dimension to this track.

KANO – Spaceship …
“Spaceship, take off and fly
There is no turning back when you arrive
to a whole other world outside
Far away from here
Blinded by the stars in her eyes
Running away from her lies
Searching for a way to paradise
far away from here”

GRIME Forever

I know, this type of music is not very close to the electro culture as the motto of ours blog, however i think it’s still good to have an eye for this hybrid and creative music from UK.
What’s the GRIME Music ?… It’s a UK rapper with a Freaky flow on a ‘cheap’ alternative instrumental. It’s as the same time influenced by the UK ELECTRONIC music and RAGAMUFFIN’ along with a ruff touch like DIRTY SOUTH music. The upshot is hybrid and sick! Threrfore The GRIME is the continuity of his parents : 2 STEP and GARAGE (UKG) music and BASSLINE could introduced like his child.
The addicts & the activists already know that underground movement is
dying…However the “old” archives are still here :

MORE FIRE CREW – OI! – 2002 (N°10 on the UK Charts at the time)

DIZZEE RASCAL – JUS A RASCAL – 2003 (He was 18 on this video)

LETHAL BIZZLE – Pow – 2004 (Dangerous one when it’s played in Club)
