ELECTRO/TECHNO

Most of Electro lovers are still angry about genres : Electro-Clash & Electro-House stole the name & the sense of the original “ELECTRO”. To be honest, i haven’t got any problems with those illegitimate children, my only one regret about Electro music is its unofficial separation with its wife the Techno music.
I really missed the time when productions represented the hybrid combination called “ElectroTechno” (more relevant via the sounds than denomination), the finest masterpieces were clearly produced & played during this period (1982-2002). Currently 80% of the producers who did the 2 styles wouldn’t to be ranked in ‘Electro’ boxes and claimed only the greatly esteemed ‘Techno’ word & affiliation. Since the beginning of 00′s, according to my point of view, i feel like the Underground Electro scene doesn’t seem to get over this divorce and keep trying to survive in the shadow (repeating sometimes the same old formula while forgetting some of the main ingredients …therefore boring the devoted listeners). In addition, the new Straight Electro producers seem a bit close-minded, not very interested by any other type of music and especially not by their “ex-soulmate” the TECHNO that stays always very rich in musicality. Therefore the “modern” Electro music is often poor & not universal…
However I’m not saying Electro music is dead, good exceptions make my day every day. But I’m pretty sure if Electro was still connected with Techno, ELECTRO/TECHNO will be on the front jiggling the floors & the minds. (To be realistic, this gathering isn’t going to happen again because Techno music lives well in its own way)
Anyway, i don’t really want to conclude on something negative or positive, i just wished to share my opinion

…and now let’s the music take control with this masterpiece for remind the (unforgettable) powerful connection :

back to bionic POPKOMM Global Routing ghost technology electronic music New Release on GHOSTTECHNOLOGY : POPKOMM [UKV] « Global Routing » Album

In a good way to become one of the finest electro label, GHOST TECHNOLOGY is back for the new year with the debut album of the Croatia-based producer named POPKOMM better known as the half of UKV band (and also as the label co-manager). « Global Routing » contains 10 tracks on which we rediscorerd the spacey electronic touch already featuring on the most part of releases coming from this label (UKV E.P & signatures). This project must be listen as entire album however there are a couple of tracks that are better accomplished to stimulate a type of daydreaming, especially : ‘Behind Me’, ‘Look Back’, ‘Applied’, ‘Distant’. POPKOMM wins to produce a lovely album connecting at his own way the earlier electro and the new era of electronic music. Recommended!

back to bionic THE OUTSIDER KLANGWELT album electronic music review Ghost Technology New Release on GHOST TECHNOLOGY : THE OUTSIDER « KlangWelt » Album

Following the spirit of their latest productions, the GHOST TECHNOLOGY Label continues to create its own music signature by releasing the debut album of its new soldier called THE OUTSIDERKlangWelt » is pretty easy thanks notably to a down tempo & some peaceful melodies (along with some catchy vocals). On each track, Scott W. aka THE OUTSIDER introduced a rich diversity of stimulus and some moods : electronic well-being, post-futuristic melancholy, dark visions, apocalyptic redemption… The result is nice, unique & pleasantly cold therefore this album is very great to listen during the latency periods of life…and unfortunately the latency periods are more and more regular than the good albums that could help to support them.

back to bionic MESAK circle of 12 album ghost technology electro mr velcro fastener review New Release on GHOST TECHNOLOGY : MESAK « Cycle of 12 » Album

The croatian based electro label GHOST TECHNOLOGY focus on the musical anticipation continues its good work by releasing a new album of a ghostly producer. During the promotion, no details provided excepted two video clips for the purpose of travel through an abstract electronic universe (Here : 1 2). From now on, the mask fell and the name of producer is nothingless than MESAK, the half of ‘MR VELCRO FASTENER’ (& the co founder of the HARMONIA label).
His new full length album released the 4-28-11 on GHOST TECHNOLOGY titled “Cycle of 12″ features 8 tracks very well produced mixing together bass and experimental electro. The first tune “A plus B” introduces right the great mood of this project. The immersion is easy, MESAK has a groovy signature that will seduce any listeners who still have two ears. As so far, the experimental has a real position on this album and its fine texture designed a dream of a friendly futuristic world.
Recommended!
