The Belgium based producer MAGIKBITUM has just released his debut length album on TRANSIENT FORCE. This project is not a boring compilation of tracks but rather a real album written like a SCI-FI movie script with a beginning and a mysterious end. The synopsis could be introduced like this : you are invited to lift off from a planet in order to lead an enigmatic mission, the trip is pretty peaceful but suddenly an error system happens disturbing the control of the starship and provoking a pure dose of stress (to not say of bass)…
The “Cockpit Viewscreen” features 12 tracks including 1 remix by Micro.Control.Unit and also 2 skits which change the processus of the mission as well as the mood of the music. By this way, MAGIKBITUM explores the characteristics of different type of electronic music (ambient, electro, electro bass) to play with our feelings. So, If you are ready to fail into the void of space, close your eyes and let’s play this great album, may be you will see also some aliens… Recommended!

The “Elektro Domesticos 2” was probably one of the greatest electro compilation released last year. 12 years after the 1st issue of Elektro Domesticos (which was also the first spanish electro compilation), via Fundamental Records ALEK STARK released the 2nd part to highlight some new undergound producers based in spain. Now exactly 12 months later, “ELEKTRO DOMESTICOS 3” is out, built on the same processus : a sweet cover for a great triple vinyl, a carbon double CD and a generous digital pack (43 tracks). “The Opening Of The Cerebral Gate” produced by the half of DREXCIYA JAMES STINSON a.k.a TRANSLLUSION is without any doubt one of my favorite Electro-Techno cover. I discovered this one few years before listen the full-length album that is of course a masterpiece.
I Dig this cover, especially its minimalist design which let us imagine our own parrallel world (…like the effects of Music do). The geometrical style and the colors are pretty catchy acting as a ‘logotype’ in order to be concentred on the meaning of the picture. Therefore the cover features many levels of interpretation… However get it or not, the design composed only of straight lines is still very peaceful to watch.
A real inspiration!
