Coming from ‘nowhere’, the free compilation entitled « THE ELECTRO COMPENDIUM » did in 3 weeks & still doing a well deserved buzz, broadcasting the robotic music beyond its regular media exposure. Indeed, this attractive project has got the singularity to feature 116 tracks (Yep 116!) representing more than a quarter of the finest producers from the entire underground Electro niche reunited in order to say : the original electronica music is still here in 2012! (In a way, it will probably remind to the large audience what is behind the original name of Electro : Electro Bass, Electro Breaks, Electronica, Idm, Ambient, Hi-Tek…) This appreciated non-profit initiative is signed by the electro band VOLSOC. The entire listening in one-shot is of course not easy according to the 12 hours of music however the quality is maintained all the way. In addition, THE ELECTRO COMPENDIUM’s tracklist in its solid diversity could remind you the quality provided during the SATAMILE Records’ era! Everyone will easily make his own selection into these 116 tracks. THE ELECTRO COMPENDIUM is a real positive pace for electronica music. Recommended!

Indeed the list of underground electro producers who did a remix is pretty heavy and their work on this track is great too, check out!
A new step for the great label SHAMELESS TOADY by releasing yesterday the full lengtht album of one of the finest Uk underground producer called ADJ (Pyramid Transmission & ex-IQ record store). The title of this album tells for itself, it’s clearly about « Beat, Blips & Other Dimensions” » so don’t except a classic format but rather a music laboratory repport. No reference or related visuals stand out when you’re listening to the ADJ sounds, his pure electronic vibes have instead some intangible & abstract intentions. The melodies are futuristic therefore unreassuring, a bit cold and pretty close to the experimenation. Thus this album contains 12 solid tracks very well produced with various sounds : electro, breaks, glitch, Idm and also dubstep. We have never be disappointed by the ADJ’s perspective, all his releases are like an underground “masterpiece” pushing the limits of electronic music. As it concerns the amazing “Beat, Blips & other Dimensions” album, it must be listen and listen again to get all its facets. Hotly Recommended!

Outside Recordings is a discreet Electro – IDM record label possessing a really great catalogue. A couple of months ago after released the amazing album of ADJ, the label is back with an E.P signed by the gifted Seattle based producer 214 ( TwoFourteen ). His new project entitled “Eye Thoughts” features a serious content of 4 unique tracks along with 2 remixes. On this E.P, we find back the brilliant 214’s touch that is a blend of mental musics like Electro, Idm, Garage, Experimental,… The remixes of the title track bring up some other sounds to this project : the first is a glitchy version produced by MR ATOMIC (aka KRIS KRAUSE) and the second is a bass version by EXZAKT. Therefore the “Eye Thoughts” E.P will submerge you into even more mysterious hybrid world than you could imagine. Recommended!
