Currently better known by the Bass heads for his sounds released under his alias OKTORED, the Detroit based producer COCKY BALBOA is back on the emblematic JUKE TRAX label with a new EP entitled « Jit Town Get Down ». The two first tunes of this project are very close to the 90’s vibes of Ghetto Tek productions when the two other tunes opening smartly on new horizons : mixing the old pattern with new genres of bass music such as the Moombahton. The result is quite catchy & groovy therefore very danceable! Every good things that you can expect from the Ghetto Bass music is in this EP. Recommended!

New release on CULTIVATED ELECTRONICS : « World Electronix Volume 1 » 12″ Compilation

The solid electro label CULTIVATED ELECTRONICS is back to its roots by releasing a new series of compilations entitled « World Electronix ». For reminder in 2007, the first one releases were a series of 3 vinyls introducing CULTIVATED ELECTRONICS as a very promising imprint. And since its beginning this UK-based label has succeeded in maintaining a such quality every time on Vinyl. The 4-tracks EP « World Electronix Volume 1 » has just been released and features some main creative minds from Electro scene. The first tune signed by the talented SILICON SCALLY is an amazing abstract Hi-tek production dedicated to dystopia lovers. The Madrid-Based producer BORIS DIVIDER provides his classic Sci-Fi signature on a track well-produced as its usual. Then, there is a new collaboration between SYNC24 & DEIXIS (both respectively running CULTIVATED ELECTRONICS & ABSTRACT FORMS label). That’s certainly the good surprise on this EP sounding like a promosing connection. On the last cut, the duo MORPHOLOGY produced a dynamic & very catchy track including some riffs sampled straight up from DOPPLEREFFEKT’s production. Therefore that track should talk to a specific nostalgic audience. In conclusion, this entire 1st installment of the series is hot, diffusing Electro music in its pure classic weird forms. Recommended!
