Coming from ‘nowhere’, the free compilation entitled « THE ELECTRO COMPENDIUM » did in 3 weeks & still doing a well deserved buzz, broadcasting the robotic music beyond its regular media exposure. Indeed, this attractive project has got the singularity to feature 116 tracks (Yep 116!) representing more than a quarter of the finest producers from the entire underground Electro niche reunited in order to say : the original electronica music is still here in 2012! (In a way, it will probably remind to the large audience what is behind the original name of Electro : Electro Bass, Electro Breaks, Electronica, Idm, Ambient, Hi-Tek…) This appreciated non-profit initiative is signed by the electro band VOLSOC. The entire listening in one-shot is of course not easy according to the 12 hours of music however the quality is maintained all the way. In addition, THE ELECTRO COMPENDIUM’s tracklist in its solid diversity could remind you the quality provided during the SATAMILE Records’ era! Everyone will easily make his own selection into these 116 tracks. THE ELECTRO COMPENDIUM is a real positive pace for electronica music. Recommended!

Maintaining a dynamic mix when you choose to develop a dark atmosphere is a real artistic action…that’s why we are delighted to present our third podcast mixed by one of the best dj in his category, who goes by the name of UMWELT. Indeed this frenchy DJ/Producer masters chaos & bass with great ease. Therefore this mix is for the electro breaks purists who aren’t afraid to ‘kiss in the dark’. This time, the “BIONIC PODCAST 03 ” is in exclusivity entitled “The NewFlesh Studio part. 11” as the following up of the Umwlet’s mix series started a couple years ago (before the launch of his own label in 2009)
The tracklist features a great variety from the finest underground labels and also some productions from the catalogue of NewFlesh Records like the future classic “Diary Of The Inhuman Species”. With Umwelt, you can forget the softwares, this is a 100% Vinyl dj set meaning the up-coming or digital tracks have been cutted on unique records for this occasion (thanks to my-vinyl.fr)! The Resistance is still here to destroy, Let’s rock !

New release on SHAMELESS TOADY : « PEERS – Volume 1 » Compilation

Posted by on 03/28/2011 | Category : Album-EP Reviews / Stay informed by subscribing to RSS Feeds or to Twitter

The SHAMELESS TOADY label run by PIP WILLIAMS comes forth with sublime compilation called “PEERS – Volume 1”. This one features some greatest underground electro producers like 214, R21, REPLICANTE NORMAN, ROBERT COSMIC, KOOVA and many other talents. The smart selection of tracks influences in a way a deep cosmic breathing to chill out. Thus, the compilation sounds hybrid through its ambient vibe occasioned by a great diversity of music (namely some : idm, electro, ambient, electro bass…) SHAMELESS TOADY proves again that it’s always possible to have a lateral thinking to produce electro and to keep the musicality on the high level. Recommended!
