SCAN 7 is back on TRESOR along with a new EP entitled « The Resistance »

13 years after the masterpiece « Resurfaced », SCAN 7 is back on the Berlin-based TRESOR Records along with a new ep entitled « The Resistance ». Loyal to the original Techno music & to his committed thoughts, the leader of SCAN 7 aka TRACKMASTER LOU has produced a solid 3 tracks Ep. Spreading some militant lyrics, the title track of this vinyl sounds like SCAN 7 has put a magic 90s production out of the UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE‘s mothballs (U.R label was the one that launched SCAN7). Honestly this tune would warm the souls who still miss that time. The 2 others tracks ‘in & out Groove’ & ‘Why not’ are in a way more interesting dropping some 313 atmospheric dark groovy beats. And as the SCAN 7’s usual, his kinda enthusiastic tunes are well made to be played by DJs. With 2 brand new vinyls this month (the other one is the great « Mental Reaction » on Dtrt Undrgrnd™) TRACKMASTER LOU seems to have officially gotten his favorite RX5 machine out again for the best. Therefore we really hope « The Resistance ». EP will announce an entire album on the same imprint, their early underground connection was one of the most important for the foundation of Detroit Techno (2nd generation). Highly Recommended!

New Release on LAST KNOWN TRAJECTORY : GALAXIAN « The Looting of Reason » EP

Posted by on 01/24/2012 | Category : Album-EP Reviews / Stay informed by subscribing to RSS Feeds or to Twitter

The Dystopian producer GALAXIAN releases a committed E.P entitled “The Looting of Reason” on the great label Last Known Trajectory. Written before the uk riots of summer 2011, this solid project introduces some anticipated questions about the manipulations of citizens humans by the oppressive society. The point is : everyone should make some conscious choices and to reclaim the meaning of human life. Interesting to see the reality is catching up so fast the fiction and more ‘funny’ to hear the government lying about the nonsense of riots. “The Looting of Reason” is a coherent EP, not easy to listen but it must be listen to the beginning to end more as cyberpunk novel than a simple electro tunes package. According to its rough theme, the production is cold & dark however in some way pretty trippy and of course very unique. By means of this release, GALAXIAN proves once again that music is more deep when it’s about social disintegration (and not about assimilation). Recommended!

A new awesome Acid track entitled ‘CONTROL’ produced by MINIMUM SYNDICAT. With a raw piece like that, we can say the committed underground scene is in fine shape. About the footage of this video clip, considering the current affairs, the choice couldn’t be better :
