New self-release by SCAPE ONE : «11:11:11» Album

The title looks like an anecdote during those black days, but who knows may be some related creations will study in the future… The «11:11:11» album proceeds the concept release of a potencial trilogy begun by SCAPE ONE last year with the «10:10:10» album. Forget these details, we think this great (& timeless) release worth more attention.
First, SCAPE ONE is one of those rare electro oldtimers to be so prolific since his debut (3 releases in november). If you don’t already checked, lately he has uploaded his entire catalogue on the digital & independant website BANDCAMP (here). About the «11:11:11» album, it sounds as a typical SCAPE ONE’s electronic vibes. Indeed, SCAPE ONE produced some abstract synthetic forms without image or related interpretation, just a pure bleeping along with a lot of feelings coming from his great skillfulness on 88-key. So no more words his music speaks for itself, switch on these selected tracks…this album would escort your thougths. Probably the best SCAPE ONE’s release of this year. Recommended!

New release on CULTIVATED ELECTRONICS : SCAPE ONE « Potent Mutagen » EP

Posted by on 05/27/2011 | Category : Album-EP Reviews / Stay informed by subscribing to RSS Feeds or to Twitter

CULTIVATED ELECTRONICS is a secretive label records producing more quality than quantity.
In few years, this great laboratory has developed its own sound line grounded on some specific electronics distortions. Following up this way, the Uk pioneer KURT BAGGALEY aka SCAPE ONE releases a new vinyl titled “Potent Mutagen” including two electro tracks along with some remixes. As usual with this prolific artist, the music is well produced and features a lot of sound effects inviting the listener to trip in his futuristic world. The other side of this E.P introduces also two amazing remixes signed by SYNC 24 & DYNAREC. Indeed these producers pushed the bass and the tempo of the KURT’s spacey music to made something more heavy, more danceable for cyborgs. Thus this release proves again the Electro stays a powerful & weird music stimulating the mind as much as the foots … and all that with no compromise, please! Hotly Recommended!

New release on Militant Science : PAUL BLACKFORD « Sub Mission » Album

Posted by on 01/03/2011 | Category : Album-EP Reviews / Stay informed by subscribing to RSS Feeds or to Twitter

PAUL BLACKFORD is back with a new album released on his own label Militant Science. This project entitled “Sub Mission” features 12 pure Electro tracks.
Along to this album, like for recent Militant Science’s releases of GALAXIAN & SCAPE ONE, the sound is groovy and also trippy ! This hybrid touch can be explain by the deep impact of the RAVE MUSIC that is always a good influence in England over the years. For real, The combo of DETROIT Techno and UK Rave is a digger music and it’s still fresh!
